A contemporary dancer and choreographer, Erin was long fascinated by Argentine Tango before she began her study of the dance form. She first learned tango from her husband Doruk Gölcü, Jak Karako and Metin Yazir in New York. She currently takes every opportunity to study with Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne; and Ariadna Naveira & Fernando Sanchez.
Doruk started dancing tango in Ankara, Turkey, under the tutelage of Ali Kemal Ozkan and Servet&Figen Moran. After moving to the US, he received training predominantly from Jak Karako and Metin Yazir, among others. Currently he resides in San Francisco. In his non-tango life, Doruk is a postdoctoral scientist at Stanford University.
